Some bad moments
Unfortunately there is still no EXIF data added, if you upload photos with the app. Description text is missing as well. I wonder why they cut off features for app users. Interface and usability is great, but function/features has to come first!
500px is an excellent site, especially if you want to see some amazingly talented photography. I would say without trepidation, that some of the best photography in the world can be found here if you look hard enough.
Where it FAILS miserably is its rating system. Really, really poor images can receive hundreds of votes and simply stunning images can get next to nothing or are virtually ignored. Since it is the patrons who vote, it comes down to whether or not your image is seen by those with an eye for a good image before it disappears under the deluge of images posted daily.
Also, 500px was designed for Photographers to post their very best images yet the site is cluttered with images a Kodak Instamatic 900 would be embarrassed to take.
The concept of the site is excellent and well worth joining, you will see some stunning images by some truly excellent world class photographers. You just have to have the patience to sort through the really bad ones.

Version 4.0 is a big mistake update. I really liked the black interface (no distraction) and the ability to easy see photos of people I follow. Now the interface is white and clumsy and the beauty is gone.
